Last post of 2008 and a good opportunity to look back at what we have done in 2008. I think this was just a fantastic year. Macboys have managed to beat all endurance teams over 2008 in each corner of this planet. This is worth mentioning because it will be the baseline for future success of our karting team.
Back in February 08, we managed to beat Nivea For Men (24h Winner of Dubai 2008 NFM challenge) and Benfica (2005 Winners of Le Mans 24h Open Kart) but also Batelco (Winner of October 08 Edition of 24h Dubai). This does not mean that some of them took revenge in 2008 but at least once in Thailand 24h, it was clear victory for the Macboys.
Back in October 08, Macboys won not only Salbris 24h but also added a defeat to very serious contenders like Time Attack (Winners of 24h RKC Fun & Race) and Unistar team (Winners of Sept 08 Edition of 24h Le Mans Open Kart).
2008 was also a good rising fame across the Channel with a 2008 win in August at 10h Essay Euro Club100 (Clubman Class) and a very close to victory outcome in 24h Wembley Race of Champions in Dec08 were Macboys led the race for 16hours ending 2nd on the finish line.
All this to conclude an extraordinary 2008 year were our team raced in Thailand, UAE, UK and France. 2009 is coming fast and this will be the opportunity for the Macboys to have a new President with Nicolas Royant starting Jan 1st.
Personally, my 2008 experience as a President of the Macboys could not be more complete with a lot of fun, emotions and victories. I will give here a warm thank you message to all our blog visitors and I wish some more nice adventures for the Macboys in 2009.
